Another great post, Bec. Ironically, we're jaded on one hand, thanks to the web, and on the other we're shocked and judgmental. What happened to live and let live? There is no such thing as privacy. We abandoned that idea. You lose no matter what you say or do. One of the benefits of age, is no longer caring what people think. Also I'm old enough that the most embarrassing things in my past would bore people to death today.

Damned if we do and damned if we don’t. I once got really heated about a certain strictly contestant who was rubbish but kept getting voted in for his dad dancing. Wrote a furious tweet when he was saved - the vitriol I got back still makes me feel sick when I think of it. And I wasn’t even that mean - something wrong with this metric. Hoards out to put me in my place. I wasn’t nice, don’t get me wrong but really? It’s there on Twitter to remind me to this day. Also, love the tennis ball story, it’s MY bal!

I tend to agree Bec, I'm not sure what the answer is but it certainly doesn't seem to be cancelling people.

Though I do have to say your tennis ball story just makes you all the more endearing for how innocent it is! Children are going to be children but I take your point that even tiny, innocent things can be taken out of context and twisted.
